Unnat Varma is the Managing Director for Pizza Hut Asia Pacific, a diverse region that represents half of the global population and includes countries like China, India, Japan and Australia. Pizza Hut is the largest pizza brand in Asia Pacific and has presence in 22 countries in the region. Prior to this role, Unnat was the Managing Director-Pizza Hut for the Indian Sub-continent. This is Unnat’s 4th year in AsiaPac BMU and 17th year in Yum. He joined Yum! In 2006 as Director Marketing – KFC and was instrumental in the successful re-launch and growth of KFC in India. In 2011, he was given the responsibility of building Taco Bell as the next growth engine for Yum! In India as GM – Taco Bell. After successfully proving the consumer and business proposition for Taco Bell and appointing a new national franchise partner, Unnat was given the responsibility turning around the Pizza Hut brand inIndia in Jan 2015. Prior to joining Yum! Brands, Unnat worked with Gillette in India for 11 yrs across Sales and Marketing functions. Unnat has a degree in Engineering and Management from University of Poona. He did his MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. He is married and has two children.
