Bose is a man of the bar. One of India’s best known names and faces, responsible for sculpting the bar and beverage scene here. His renown has taken him across the world. Bose recently returned to India after an action-packed stint in Singapore, travelling and spreading the gospel of new wave gins as the Asia-Pacific brand ambassador for Monkey 47. Prior to that, Bose was appointed Man of the House at 28 Hong Kong Street. During this term, the popular bar made a leap from number 10 to number 7 on the 50 Best Bars of the World list.
Before becoming part of the Singapore craft cocktail scene, Bose had run PCO, Delhi’s first-of-its-kind 1920’s style speakeasy. He simultaneously operated cocktail outfits such as Getafix and The Delhi Cocktail Club.
His journey in the industry spans 15 years, starting with a degree in Hotel Management in Mumbai, followed by stints at nightclubs and bars, and developing beverage programs for various brands across India. While with Bacardi India, Bose also held positions in beverage sales and marketing, which equipped him with a holistic understanding of how spirits markets work. This led to a role as the travelling Bacardi Brand Ambassador for India. Bose continues to work with his beverage outfit, the Bar Back Collective, setting up bars and advicing with beverage brands to run innovative drink programs such as the Gin Sling (which last took place in 2018).
